Methods for emergency victim is unconscious
When someone is unconscious, must be immediately remedied the situation to stop breathing and cardiac arrest - two causes direct threat to the life of the victim. Within 3-4 minutes of oxygen, the brain will stop functioning, the heart also stopped beating; victim will die if not promptly granted.
Back to brain activity, breathing right through to bring oxygen to the lungs; heart contractions have to give blood (received oxygen in the lungs) circulation to tissues, including brain tissue.
Identifiable victim has stopped breathing and cardiac arrest through the following signs:
- Chest and abdominal movements are no longer flickering.
- The nose and mouth while breathing (identified by visiting the cheek close to victims nose and mouth).
- Arteries wrist or neck arteries beating.
- The pupil dilated and no longer reflect light (if available a small flashlight, you may be to the victims eye to eye reflex test).
Measures should be taken right now is artificial respiration and external cardiac chest presses . Both this procedure must be done simultaneously.
- Use your fingers to take the foreign object out of his mouth victims, including dentures.
- Providing a hand to the nape of the victim would keep the head back and forth. Left hand to your forehead, use your index finger and thumb covering both nostrils to prevent air escaping.
- Inhale a deep breath and blows into the victims mouth (Figure 1). Make 5 consecutive times. If the chest rises when the victim breathed on them and falling when the blow is completed efficiently. If the victim can not open your mouth or mouth injuries so severe they can be blown into the nose.
